These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the agreement between W. Stinnett Personal Chef (“Chef,” “Company,” “we,” or “us”) and the client (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) for personal chef, meal preparation, knife sharpening, and related culinary services.

By booking services or submitting payment, the Client agrees to the following Terms.

  • Grocery shopping

  • In-home cooking

  • Kitchen cleanup

  • Food labeling and reheating instructions

  • Knife sharpening

  • Private culinary services

  • Catering and cooking classes (subject to separate agreements)

2. No Long-Term Contract

There is no long-term contract or membership commitment required for recurring meal prep services.

Clients may cancel, pause, or discontinue service at any time for any reason.

Likewise, the Chef reserves the right to decline, discontinue, or cancel services at any time for any lawful reason, including but not limited to scheduling conflicts, unsafe working conditions, repeated late payments, inappropriate conduct, or inability to meet service expectations.

3. Scheduling & Service Process

Meal preparation services are typically performed in the Client’s home on an agreed recurring schedule, such as:

  • Weekly on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM

  • Bi-weekly on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM

(These are examples only; each Client schedule will be individually agreed upon.)

Menu Planning

  • The Chef will email a draft menu to the Client on or around the Thursday prior to the scheduled service date.

  • The Client is responsible for reviewing the menu and submitting selections, changes, or approvals no later than 48 hours before service day.

  • Failure to respond in time may result in the Chef selecting menu items on the Client’s behalf based on known preferences and dietary restrictions.

Day of Service

On the scheduled service day, the Chef will:

  1. Shop for groceries and ingredients

  2. Arrive at the Client’s home

  3. Prepare meals on-site (typically approximately 4–6 hours depending on service scope)

  4. Package meals in reusable food containers

  5. Label prepared meals

  6. Leave printed or written menu/reheating instructions when applicable

  7. Clean the kitchen work area before departure

Cleanup generally includes:

  • Washing dishes and cookware used during service

  • Cleaning countertops and cooking surfaces

  • Sweeping, vacuuming, or mopping as needed

  • Removing cooking-related trash

  • Outsource sharpening to a third-party cutlery professional

  • Provide revised pricing estimates before proceeding

Turnaround Time

Estimated turnaround time is approximately 72 hours, though timing may vary.

Liability

All sharpening work includes a workmanship satisfaction guarantee; however:

  • Some knives may not be serviceable depending on condition or material

10. Catering, Events & Cooking Classes

Large-scale catering, private events, cooking classes, and specialty culinary services may require a separate written agreement or event-specific Terms of Service.

Pricing for these services will be quoted individually based on:

  • Guest count

  • Menu complexity

  • Equipment needs

  • Staffing

  • Travel

  • Service duration

  • Other event-specific requirements

Services are considered approved once the Client accepts the quoted pricing and scheduling terms.

11. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Clients should provide as much notice as possible for cancellations or schedule changes.

Because ingredients, shopping, and scheduling are planned in advance:

  • Last-minute cancellations may still be billed partially or fully depending on expenses already incurred

  • The Chef may attempt to reschedule services when possible but does not guarantee availability
